I picked up some Bic Gel-ocity pens yesterday at my local dollar store and thought I would give them a try. They aren't bad; flow is good with little pooling. Of course, these are 50 cents a pop whereas my usual pen is around 17 cents each. I grew up drawing with the, at the time, 19 cent Bic which was just regular ink since gel hadn't been invented yet. Youthful measures 6 by 4.5 inches on regular bond paper. So this must be Original Jones Art testing yet another pen here in northwest Austin, Texas.

i think we all go through youthfulness in our lives ,i alway enjoy your work Charles just much i enjoyed Picasso's work.

Artist Reply: That could be a given, Ray. About us all going through youthfulness, I mean. I also appreciate your comments. You know, not everyone enjoys Pablo's work. Folks probably appreciate its monetary value much more than its aesthetic value. Hope you are doing great. :)

I think I'd know your neat style anywhere no matter what material you used. Always, the talent shows through!!!

Artist Reply: Hey, thanks so much, Ginger! I still get a kick out of what I can pull out with a bunch of lines applied to paper. You could say it's been the source of my greatest pleasure over many years; most pleasures are ephemeral, transient. This one has been like the Energizer Bunny. :)
