ELVIS….(c) 1984 Elton Houck-----------------This selection is one from my "vault of wonders"...It is from the year 1984, and is an abstract of ELVIS done on paper with felt marker and stains one of which is shoe polish. This remarkable work is done on plain common paper 5.25" X 8.75" which is mounted on 8" X 10" Bristol vellum. This painting is sealed with acrylic gel medium. And in case you have not noticed, Elvis has left the building.

Elvis has never looked more rhythmical and abstract, Elton. You know there's a lot of folks who weren't around when he was alive. Time marches on, they say. I've never used shoe polish before though I did play around with coffee grounds once. :)
