After a long hiatus, I am finally back in the studio. I started out by painting our little cat, Lucia (Loesje in Dutch), enjoying the morning sunshine on my bed. We rescued Loesje from a life on the streets back in June, and she's been such a blessing and joy to have around every day. She's also a great cat to paint, with her different colorations. She's part tortoiseshell, part calico, though the tortoiseshell is not as evident in this watercolor.
