A progression from a simple form to a more complex one. That's the definition. But I'm wondering if we've gone 'complex' enough and need to dial it back a notch or two. What does it mean to be essentially human and, in today's world, is that enough? This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing with a little charcoal pencil on medium weight toned paper. It's Original Jones Art postulating the 'what if's" in northwest Austin, Texas.

Artist Reply: It IS a slight improvement over the stick figures I drew in grade school, Ginger, but only just. Which makes me say, one more time, that we need to greatly increase the funding in public schools for the ARTS, specifically, creative writing, visual arts and music. I don't know what I would have done without music. And, of course, the performing arts as well. Thanks, Ginger! :)
