This is the original photo that I took while on a hike around Salem Lake, North Carolina. I later decided to do a painting of this scene, which I uploaded yesterday. I've tried many times to take a photo in the past of these beautiful birds, only to have them fly away as soon as I pull out my camera. This was an unexpected treat. Taken with my Samsung Galaxy S21.
