It might not seem like much but this is the only painting I've completed since my hospital stay in February. It's based, of course, on a drawing I uploaded a few days ago. There are slight differences between the two but basically they're very close. This is a 16 by 12 inches acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas and a pretty colorful example of Original Jones Art as he enjoys a mild autumn day in northwest Austin, Texas.

I do like the painting very much. The colors are so vivid and bright. So, this is your use of acrylic? Did you use gel pens also as you do in your smaller works?

Artist Reply: This is a pure acrylic piece, Ginger. As an experiment, I used a condiment squirt bottle full of black acrylic and drew out the outlines of the painting, waited for that to dry, and then went in with brushes. It worked pretty well though I think this 'technique' would probably work better on larger scale work. Thanks! :)

Love the colors beautifully done Charles

Artist Reply: Thanks, Ray! Yeah, I've had a difficult time sitting in one place for too long and painting takes sitting in one place to new levels. Drawing a small piece, even in color is a lot quicker.
