Disturbing? YES. Your interpretation misunderstood by some? Perhaps. Does it merit a 1? Not in my opinion. Art doesn't neccessarily have to be understood to be good art. Subjective indeed, but with imaginative concepts behind the work.
you can't give a peice of art a "1" just because you don't like something that is most likely meant to be "disturbing". This is really cool and you did a good job on achieving just the right feel to freak people out. How did you do the decay?
