Yes, Charles is playing with idioms again. It's a habit of his. It's not exactly 'in the bag' as to whether this is a positive (arrow UP) or a negative (arrow DOWN.) Maybe it's both, in a round about way. I received my Christmas gift recently. Uh, it's to myself---otherwise, excepting the friends who visited Christmas Day, CJ would have had none. Even Santa sent a digital IOU for a lump of coal. It is Seasons 1 and 2 of The Saint, starring Roger Moore. I had a 'collection' of that series but, upon research, found that it consisted of Seasons 5 and 6 only. So I went scrounging for the others to complete the collection. I had enjoyed watching Danger Man/Secret Agent, I Spy, and The Avengers featuring Diana Rigg so much that I wanted to have and watch all of The Saint as well. Anyway, the packaging from the guy on EBay lacked a little to be desired, consisting of a non-bubble protected envelope (thin paper) with some thin styrofoam art board wrapped around front and back---with no protection top and bottom. Yes, the case arrived with a piece broken off. I promptly repaired same with my trusty viscous Super Glue. Then I cut down the art board into two pieces and proceeded to draw and paint on one. This is a roughly 6 by 5.75 inches gel pen drawing with acrylic paint and color pencil on that art board. It's Original Jones Art trying to stay out of that rut here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Aww, I'm sorry. Hope you were able to watch The Saint anyway. In addition, you did what you like to do, Christmas or not, and that was your art! Really expressive eyes!

Artist Reply: It was an unopened set, and the discs arrived unharmed, thankfully. If they hadn't, there would have been words between us, the seller and I. As it was, I didn't see the point. Nitpicking in the 21st Century usually does one little good, Ginger. Thanks!
