The way I see it, a person can be viewed as either a wall or a doorway. A wall doesn't let things in but it also doesn't let things out. A doorway, on the other hand, is capable of two-way traffic, of letting internal mix and mingle with the external. Even as crazy as the world seems sometimes, it's always better in the long run to be a doorway. This is a 7.25 by 5.25 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil and the first thing Original Jones Art is offering to this New Year here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Happy New Year Charles,,,,,,I think all your daily postings are well thought out, with your skills & Talent, even though my wife & I don't quite understand them,I think you have a fantastic imagination to be able to give us something different each day,it's fun when you surprise us with something different with this character,,

Artist Reply: Thanks, Al. Good to hear from you and a most Happy New Year to you and your wife. When you enjoy doing something you should do it and as often as possible. As long as it doesn't hurt anyone, of course. My work is fairly innocuous over all. Let's hope 2022 is a slight improvement over the last couple. :)

congrads Number 1 for December...Be careful there Austin dweller..my daughter and her family of 7 live in Austin and all but one have tested opositive for Covid in the last days of 2021....

Artist Reply: My social life would make a hermit seem a gregarious butterfly, Elton. Though I do need to go out into the wilds for some groceries soon. Hey, since AW has deemed fit not to put top point earners on their social media platforms since last October, it's something of an empty victory. Just so you know, I didn't try that hard anyway. Happy New Year to you! :)
