It's getting more and more difficult for me to find video entertainment these days that I can actually enjoy. I mean the new stuff---TV and movies. I no longer identify with the protagonist, or what passes for one. Everything seems to be cotton candy for the mind---a quick rush of taste and sugar, a momentary high and then nothing. A void. Not even a memory. Just so you know, I am not a prude or a zealot of any kind. I'm simply a guy who grew up in the 50's and 60's when the world was a different place. I'm not saying that time was even remotely perfect but it seemed people held to a higher standard than folks do now. Maybe I was just being young and naive, thinking people and life on planet Earth would constantly improve if only in small increments. Not trying to be a downer here. Just making the same type of observations I've made all my life and trying to visualize and, perhaps, verbalize them a little. This is a gel pen with color pencil drawing measuring 7 by 5.5 inches on medium bond acid-free paper. It's what Original Jones Art has been up to on a dreary cold December day in northwest Austin, Texas.

Whole heartedly agree but you made a very cool piece of art from it and that resonates with a lot of people : )
