Yes, some of my characters appear to be on the handicapped side of things, that's true. But the way I see it, we are all handicapped in one way or another. There are quite a few maladies which cannot be discerned with the naked eye. This is a 6 by 4 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. It's another piece from Original Jones Art that literally hopped off the page here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Excellent piece as always. I love the detail and the color. Your work always makes me think. Your characters do appear to be on the handicapped side but I feel that is what makes your characters real, they can connect with everyone in one way or another because yes, we all have some sort of handicap - your work is real, raw, and honest. For me, it's so powerful and just touches my heart and soul.

Artist Reply: I think as an artist I'm a distiller, a condenser of images. I'm never happier than when something apparently simple resonates in me on a deep emotional level. I call it my root truth; if it doesn't start from there, it doesn't work, Rick; Does this make me successful? Maybe not. But it makes me, keeps me, honest. :)

Howdy hopalong Cassidy.i love it nice depiction That is true Charles we all have a some sort of handicap.

Artist Reply: Yes, we all have our share, fair or otherwise, Ray. I've been rather productive lately, on a rather small scale but, to my mind, scale doesn't matter that much. A bold statement does not need to fill up a wall. Honesty has become a risky business in the 21st Century, don't you think? :)
