MARVELOUS WORK REX. BEAUTIFULLY DONE. GREAT TREE AND TRUCK.

Artist Reply: Thanks Joanie! I enjoyed painting it. I love the trees and solitude of the Australian outback and appreciate how important a good vehicle is :-)

This is a wonderful & interesting painting,no folage on the trees ,so I would assume they are all with no chlorophyll flowing like the rest of this landscape,so skillfully done as all your gallery

Artist Reply: Thanks Al! These Eucalyptus camaldulensis trees are still alive. They shed their leaves but after periods of stress, like drought or fire, they can sprout from dormant buds beneath the bark. They also have lignotubers at the base of the tree from where a seemingly dead tree can spring to life with new shoots. In southern California some people like to claim this Australian tree as there own :-)
