I did a preliminary sketch but then only used it as a rough guide since this kind of work must build up organically or it doesn't work. The sheet of medium bond acid-free paper is 7 by 5.5 inches but the image area, strangely enough, is roughly 6 by 4.5 inches. That's my semi-standard size nowadays. I used my usual gel with the color pencils. This is Original Jones Art doing his thing here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Super work Charles ! You put your gel pen on the emotion that many can relate to : )

Artist Reply: I just started in the middle and worked my way around on this one, Dave. Just to flex some mental muscles, I think. When you pour your soul into something, emotion has a tendency to leak out. I make no apologies, though I've noticed different eyes see different things in EVERYTHING. :)

Charles,,to me he looks like he's busting @ the Seams,,,,yes let it all hang out,,,wow, several different personalities too. To So which is the real one,,,,,sorry Charles but I needed to comment ,just to funny, this one made the wife & I giggle.

Artist Reply: A giggle is a nice response, I think. Please let me know when you get to full on belly laugh so I know I can retire fulfilled. Just so you know, merely dancing a jig around the room won't do, Al. Thanks! :)
