This reminds me of a portrait I did of my brother, David, in the 60's. Something about it does. I'll see if I can locate it and scan it to the project pic area. This is a gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium weight acid-free paper. It's another buttoned up example of Original Jones Art as he continues to kid himself here in northwest Austin, Texas. I found the 60's pic of my brother. Now I don't see a lot of similarity. It must have been more a feeling. I was probably around 12 or 13 when I did this. I didn't date everything back then. I didn't have any real paints, like watercolor, so used my model paints and even some of Mom's nail polish. You can look at it and see the sheen of enamel in parts of it, especially the multi-colored shirt. No, he didn't have such a shirt. He had freckles so you can see I added a few.

Wow , really like the project images .. very cool . also the soulful look on big button : )

Artist Reply: My brother didn't appreciate the portrait and wrote 'Charles sux' on the back, Dave. At least he didn't tear it up or I wouldn't still have it. It's incredible that I have stuff going back that far. :)
