I drew this on some heavy bond acid-free paper and then cut it out. It sat around for a day or two and then I thought I'd add some color. It came out pretty well over-all, I think. This is an 11 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing. And for the questioning title, it could very well be a little of both. Original Jones Art adds another to the pile here in northwest Austin, Texas.

This dignified suave gent is a cut above the rest , Charles : )

Artist Reply: Is that a sly way of making a cutting remark, Dave? Just wondering. Thanks! :)

He may look like a cut out,of a collection of many my sister played with,I recall she had favourites,,I'm not sure if he was one of them,,,I remember my grandkids playing with Mr. potatoe Head, wow did they place the eye,the nose in the weirdest place,,,,all in fun

Artist Reply: Children are natural surrealists, Al. How else could they have the creative flexibility to convert a two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional playful illusion? Thanks!
