Artist Reply: That's actually attributed to P.T. Barnum from the middle of the 19th Century, Ray. Of course, Mr. Fields did have a movie called, 'Never Give A Sucker An Even Break.' So Mr. Barnum's and Mr. Fields' views on humanity were probably similar. Thanks!
