I read up on Mr. Stinkuls. Dave. Honestly, I don't know who came up with the term 'hippies' but in my group we were just 'long hairs' and made a point of breaking with tradition a bit. Of course, I wasn't in soviet Latvia, but we were harassed by shop owners and law enforcement alike. He sounds like an interesting person to hang out with. :)

Artist Reply: Yes indeed, super great guy. I met him and his wife Inguna also their friend Vladas from Lithuania at their store called " Baltic Crossroads" . What a store ! Art, prints, photos, music, jewelry , tapestries , clothing all from the Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Such fun down to earth people, I enjoyed spending time , hiking and just hanging out with them.
