I would wax poetic or philosophic but, truly, I'm not exactly in the mood. I'll just say this is one of my spontaneous pieces. Like I told a lady at the gallery today, I just let these images pour out without much forethought. Personally, I think that keeps them pure. Maybe a bit hit or miss but that's a lot like life in general. Or did I miss something in the nonexistent instruction manual? This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art foresees another delightfully explosive 4th of July here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Charles, I like the use of text here. Humor and spontaneity are a good combo.

Artist Reply: Thanks, John! Well, you can't say I don't keep plugging away with these. Years back, I usually incorporated the title into the drawings but now only do this occasionally. Happy 4th! :)

Lol ! Remains to be seen . Good one Charles : )

Artist Reply: I don't draw anything I don't 'own' in one way or another, Dave. It doesn't flow when I contrive or do not have the necessary drive---which is why I am so determined to keep the stream going until it or yours-truly dries up entirely. Happy 4th! :) PS: The color is a bit rosier than this as my scanner slightly dulls and/or alters hue. I can't emphasize this enough.

This one is just hilarious to pass up Charles lmfao keep up good the work charles

Artist Reply: I guess that's why the classic clown is seen as a comic-tragic figure, Ray. Some folks see the levity, others see the pathos. Thanks and Happy 4th! :)
