The popular imagination created a poetic image of the spring girl. This beautiful girl or young man is very rich, people expected generous gifts from her, and therefore looked at her early in the morning before sunrise: ran out on the hills, stood at the gate, climbed on the roof of the barn or barn and invited her with songs. Spring is usually called by women, girls and children. Spring is the time of awakening of nature. Therefore, young people gathered in meadows, near rivers, led round dances, held spring games. To this day, such games have survived, and it is "Long Vine", and "Cat and Mouse", and "Podolyanochka", which were accompanied by songs. In the Ukrainian tradition, spring was the time of the awakening of the Living, that is, alive and cheerful. The meeting of the Spring was also accompanied by rites of invocation of birds.
