I watched a Twilight Zone episode when I was a kid about the Earth falling out of orbit and moving closer and closer to the sun. The story centered on two women who shared an apartment in a high-rise building, as I recall. Everything and everyone was going crazy as the heat continued to increase and other catastrophes occurred all around the world. Well, it's been VERY hot here in Austin and what little rain we've had has not been near enough for man, beast or plant. There was actually a 'trick' ending to that episode but the scenario I described was the 'truth' until near the end. Anyway, the sunbather here is quite cock-eyed as you can see. This is a 7 by 5.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on heavy weight acid-free paper. Original Jones Art wonders what will happen if the weather turns against us totally here in northwest Austin, Texas and everywhere else.

Great work Charles , definitely get the feeling of the micro wavy sun from this . : )

Artist Reply: Well, he, she or it is not your usual sunbathing beauty, Dave, But, as i recall, I've never done 'usual' very well. Thanks! :)

I like this Charles, cool work ~

Artist Reply: Thanks, Mark! Yeah, I sometimes lose those surly bonds of earth just to gain a slightly different perspective on the 'nature' of things. Hope all is well with you. :)
