Carnival

In this acrylic painting (22"X28") i wanted to give a fun surreal carnival feel to the whole work. I started with symbolizing the essence of the carnival as the white horse you would find on the merry go round. From there i wanted to create a dynamic and inter connected pattern of shape, dimension, and forms. The horses back end is shown on a red platofrm on the left and the front on right side in larger more predominant scale. The horse becomes one with the castle structure and actually becomes the building itself with a doorway in the lower right leg with stairs. A 50 foot diving platform is shown next to a chair in the far distance representing the miriad of events that take place at carnivals and this one being one of my favorite events. I wanted the whole composiitonal structure to fuse together and the forms working with each other not against. Copyright 2005 by Imaginative Pencil and myself. All rights reserved.

I could look at your work for a long time and keep finding new things. Very appealing and eyecatching.
