closeup of mural

This is a closeup from a large panaramic mural featuring the collector and his fiance'dressed in the antiquities attire of the Pre Raffaelite era and enjoying a feast. The mural took three months to complete and included their beloved dog that had passed on. The likenesses of the two were exact (which they loved). However, we decided to alter the clouds and this is the second version which I like much better. Great people to work with and an incredible home to work in. The canvas mural was mounted on the ceiling over the Grand Dining Room table and was flanked by the largest Saltwater aquarium I have seen in a long time. Painting this mural on canvas in the controlled conditions of my studio allowed me extra time and focus to get it right without any interruptions or problems painting upside down on scaffolding for long hours. I highly encourage collectors to consider this method for attaining the finest results.

The clouds are nothing short of brilliant! the people are well done, altho as Olga mentions they do not appear to be enjoying each other's company. Would love to see the whole shebang including the dog!

Beautiful work John. Their eyes seem very intent on having much to say without saying it. Best to you for this wonderful painting.

would love to see it all... the clouds alone are inspiring enough! the stern look upon the gents brow and the sideways glance given by the woman- all bringing together the challenge you always succeed in.
