bev, i really had to laugh when i saw this one because up here in ontario we actually BUY those WEEDS as flowers. had a bunch that mysteriously showed up (planted it 2 years ago with a no-show) and was most impressed with the gorgeous lavender petals and brilliant egg yolk yellow centre. they've been there for almost a month in full bloom and finally gave up the ghost yesterday. i'm really hoping they self seed and spread 'cause they're a great contrast to some ruffled tangerine lily's in the same area. this is a beautiful painting and for anyone who's not familiar with fleabane it's spot-on.
