Two friends and a Cibachrome Magnum Edition print

Defining a medium in this gallery has always been a challenge for me, since its such a short list and you are not allowed to mix or combine methods and materials. For instance, the original of this painting was done in acrylic paint, then photographed, scanned, then reproduced using the Cibachrome print method at very high resolution. That part is essential for fine art prints at this size. From there, I had my two very good friends, Bob and Cindy (she is the cute one) pose with the print to show its grand size for collectors. They own this print now. From there, I developed the Kodachrome film and printed it on paper, then scanned that into a CD rom disc, prompting some post work in photoshop to clean it up and get it ready for use on the internet. So what is the medium? I just call it "mixed media". Makes life simple dont you think... There are a few of these prints left for Private Collectors and Galleries. Very few. The title of this painting is "Isle of the Silent Guardians" the original image area is approximately 24 x 24 " before framing in koa wood.
