Baby's First Steps

Originally, I had painted the parents into this scene but after completing it, I felt they were a distraction to the obvious focal point. So, I decided to leave only the mom and dad's hands, which are expressive enough in and of themselves...and the rest, as they say, is history!

Tom...I have experienced this precious moment seven times! And each time...was as marvelous as the first! Your art work is so perfect..that I can actually see the wind..flowing and fluffing her dress against her little unsteady body! Thank you for the precious memories!

Artist Reply: Joanne, God love you! Seven children certainly must have kept you on your toes! These moments are certainly what it's all about, arent they? I guess that's why I find such joy in having the ability to portray them as I do. Thanks for all the kind words, everyone.
