I love spending time at the beach and watching young children explore and discover are precious moments that make it so worthwhile. This painting of my son is just one of those moments that says so much. He very carefully studies a starfish for the first time and then places it in his his yellow pail with all it's other "friends". He always proudly shows his catch to anyone and everyone at the beach. At the end of the long day he would set them all free so they could "go home for supper".
