STAR FLOWER FOR SISTER

STAR FLOWER FOR SISTER paintograph and photography by MICHAEL (MIGUEL) FORBUS A DEVOTIONAL FLOWER TO MY SISTER FOR ALL SHE HAS DONE IN TAKING CARE OF THE FAMILY FOR HER WHOLE LIFE AND SACRIFICING MIGHTILY HER OWN COMFORTS. A SINCERE THANKS FROM HER BROTHER. MY SISTER, WHO IS A BRILLIANT ARTIST, RE-INSPIRED ME TO CREATE AGAIN, AFTER YEARS OF BEING DORMANT AND CHASING THE COIN, SHE SHOWED ME THAT IT IS ALL RIGHT TO TRUST IN GOD FOR YOUR NEEDS IF YOU ARE CREATING BEAUTY FOR THE EYE AND SOUL. SHE PROVED TO ME THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A MYSTERIOUS PROSPERITY THAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GIVE OF YOURSELF AND IT IS FOR THE GIVING NOT FOR THE TAKING AS SHE HAS DONE THROUGHOUT HER LIFE. HER WORK IS HEARTFELT, BRILLIANT AND NOT EASY TO ACCOMPLISH, AND IT ALWAYS COMES OUT STUNNING AND THOSE THAT WITNESS HER WORK ETHIC AND HER BRILLIANT WORKS, HAVE ALWAYS COMMENTED ON IT'S MAGNIFICENCE. SHE HAS MANY COLLECTORS AND HER ART IS ALWAYS FUN TO LOOK AT, DEVOTIONAL IN MANY CASES AND ALWAYS HAS A PIECE OF HER VERY SOUL IN EVERY PIECE, SO WHEN YOU TAKE IT TO IT'S RESTING PLACE AS A COLLECTOR OF HER WORK, YOU ALSO HAVE TAKEN SOME OF THE GLORIOUS SOUL OF HER TO YOUR HOME WITH YOU AND YOU MAY NOT ALWAYS BE AWARE OF IT'S PRESENCE, BUT THAT BIT OF SOUL IS ALWAYS AWARE OF YOU. QUOTE BY HER BROTHER, MICHAEL (MIGUEL) FORBUS

I am not sure if we have lost peploe since the start or if peploe are quietly carrying on. Either way, I am curious about those other than the few who are still commenting. At the risk of presuming too much, I think there are two reasons why peploe might not be appearing here, both of which are forms of shame. One is that you have not kept up with the book and feel bad about that, so you are not discussing it. That is a real loss because sharing that experience could be helpful for everyone. That seems to me to be precisely why doing this as part of a collective is a good thing. The other is the feeling that this is silly, a waste of time, not for me , which to me is exactly what most of us are told implicitly or explicitly about creativity growing up, so not surprising to hear those voices here.I am sure there are other reasons, but my guess is these two are driving, even where the reason is that someone has just dropped out. Maybe part of my curiosity is because after a couple weeks of being a bit annoyed with working through the book, I am finding more clarity and more comfort with the process as we move into the homestretch.By the way, my apologies if I am taking up too much comment space, but this is the audience I was hoping to share my experience with, not the peploe I blog to, so I would rather comment directly here.Regardless of whether you comment or not, I hope things are going well for you.

Great use of colors!

Artist Reply: Jan, my delight that you like my work. This was done as a homage for my delightful sister. She is such a brilliant artist and a most giving and fun woman. So she gets the credit for moving me so. Thank you so much for your kind comments. Michael

Artist Reply: Thanks so very much sweet Jamie, your encouragement is only superseded by your immense talent. You are the hardest working girl in show business. Love your work, you and all that you represent. My deepest gratitude. Michael
