Beautiful Taboo

This is in memory of a friends beloved dog, Taboo. A beautiful animal that will be dearly missed by the owners. I know how hard it is to lose a pet, as I have lost some in the last year. This is a digital painting that I did using a Wacom tablet & wireless stylus pen that hooks up to my computer. It's an electronic art tablet that I can create drawings, paintings and other art mediums works by using at software. I used my favorite , Corel's Painter X. This is a painting, not a photo auto convert to art effect, so it's not a manipulation of a photo.

This is all kinds of touching and adorable! My husband lost a beloved pet, and it was really hard on him. This has kindof inspired me to make an image like this of his late dog for him...

Artist Reply: Thank you Jenfor your words so heartfelt. I'd love to see your work when you get this dog. Pets are part of your family, they give you unconditional love. Grief over a lost pet is tough to go through. I know memorial paintings, etc. can help you get through it by giving you a way to cherish the memory of that animal. I have some pets that have died the last few years from old age, and cancer. I am just finishing their portraits as I could not bare to work on them before. Pets are treasures to keep for sure.

This is awsome work I lost a beloved pet 3 years ago and the pain will never go away I will always have the memory this memoral is just perfection and I am sure your friend will always treasure it great work

Artist Reply: Thank you Gerry! I am just getting to work on some for a few of the pets I lost to cancer & old age. When you have them for so long, it makes so much harder. I had two dogs and two cats in the past two and a half years pass on. I will be doing some paintings of them soon. I Still have two dogs, two of my daughters gave them to me to help me through the grieving. They knew I would be focusing on the new dogs and moving forward better that way. The cats, well, those were tough. I had them over 13 years each. One was a sweetheart, the other picky and grumpy with attitude. He is really missed as if he loved you, you knew it. If you didn't, beware no matter how long you went without seeing him, he'd remember who was nice or not to him. When I get back in a few weeks from a road trip & vacationing, I will be up to getting some cats for my new home. I did get a border collie for Mother's Day, so I'm up to three dogs. I've lots of land, so it's a doggie heaven here.

Artist Reply: Thanks Blue Doll! I know the owners loved Taboo, and miss him. They have several siblings to comfort them, so I'm glad for that.

This is brilliant painting and a great homage to the sweet dog and it's parents. What a nice thing to do. Really great. Michael
