The cow was ever so patient with my scared dog River, who first had her "hunter stance" (which the cow imitated), then put herself down on her back to show submission to the HUGE being compared to herself and eventually she settled in staying "down" while the cow faced her and waited, waited, and then waited some more, finally River got up and followed her in some "grass eating", becoming a "cow-dog", just like last summer, when she became a deer fawn, except the event of her identifying with fawns was a lot less "dramatic" and fearful for her. :)
