Roofline

A shot of my roofline from my home in Bermuda. The Bermuda houses and their roofs are built with heavy slate stone and tiles to stand up to the potential of strong hurricanes and storms force winds. Remember that Bermuda is a small chain of Islands out in a very large Ocean. My family and I are survivors of Hurricane Emily that swept over Bermuda in the early morning hours of September 26th 1987. This roof went undamaged and intact despite winds in excess of 125 mph – A Category 3 storm. Nevertheless, I did lose several mature palm trees in my garden… This shot makes for an interesting abstract outcome…
