Train in Mountain Pass

acrylics on paper 15"x20" Narrow gauge trains sneak along overhanging ledges of Colorado Rocky Mountains. They chug and thrust and push along tracks from one small town to another. Once they carried ore from gold and silver mines or supplies to miners. Now they carry tourists. The views are so spectacular that it almost makes one forget that they are perched on a cliff. I live in Durango when I was a child and still think it the most beautiful place on Earth.
