Rest Stop

Just a few miles into the mountains from Enumclaw is an earthen dam that holds back the White River when she gets unruly. This saves the valleys below from devastating flooding...except this year...but that's another story. Above the river is the Rim Trail, about 2 miles long, thru some very beautiful forest. This bench is located almost at the end where we take a time-out, take a sip of water and head back. It's a great place to get away when you only have 2 hours to stretch your legs and breathe the fresh air. This was taken in early March 2008, (but much like today). Mud Mt. in the distance still has snow. Thanks so much for visiting!!!
