Josefina Pena

© 2009 Josefina Pena (ceramics) and Armando Salas (photos). Josefina Pena, happily married with painter José González Collado, is a dear friend of mine. She also is a very funny person, full of life and creativity and her ceramics have a well deserved prestige. Please google for "Josefina Pena" and you'll see few samples more at pintoresgallegos dot com. --- Upper image: Amazing (and funny) ceramic. In a way, it reminds me of fallas (google also for "fallas valencianas"). Bottom image: Fina, her husband and the third musketeer (© Beatrix Jahn:-)

Fantastic piece, Armando!!! You know Gonzalez will do an exhibition here in Guimaraes soon? I'm working with the same gallery he woks here in Oporto (where I had my last exhibition: the images I've on AW) and they told me that.

Artist Reply: When I was at his gallery (Estudio 46) I told Pepe about you and the exhibition at Porta Nova gallery. I'm not sure but now I remember he said something about an exhibition in Portugal. Pepe Collado is an incredible guy. 82 years old and he paints every day with the same power and illusion. On December 2008, when I was at the exhibition opening (the day these photos were taken) he showed to me a new series of 40 oil paintings (small size). He's a machine! :-)
