The gate to Sunrise is still open for another month, if we are lucky. The weather was beautiful last weekend and LOTS of people took advantage of it. The parking lot was full. Can't blame them....we all had the treat of seeing the Mountain in all her splendid glory. This view is from the Silver Forest Trail...a new one for us. It's an easy trail, less than a mile, but full of beauty. I think I can now say that I have been on all but 2 of the many trails on the Sunrise map. There are 2 man-made vistas .2 miles from the parking lot, this is from the second one...the better unobstructed view.
