Textures of Nature

The weather has turned nasty and my daughter isn't here to hike in the rain, so I'm surfing old shots that take me into the woods. This was taken on a rainy fall day in 2005 at a place that is mostly inaccessible now. I haven't been on the Carbon River Trail since the road washed out in 2006. This turned a day-hike into an over-nighter...I don't sleep on the ground anymore. I miss this hike dearly as it was the only place in the Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park that you could hike almost year round...and we did. Now I can only relive this trail in photos. Thanks for visiting a favorite place with me.... :-)
