Survivor Extrordinar

If we were going up in the hills, this "Palisades" trail would be a possibility for this time of year. (Wish I was...) This 3 mile hike is difficult in the other seasons...in the snow and ice, it's an adventure. It's a steep climb to the top of the rock cliffs, but the view is incredible. This brave tree is all alone in the space at the top, so it gets the harshest treatment from Mother Nature. It's battered but not beaten!! Sometimes I know how it feels... :-0 2nd shot, a frozen waterfall at about the half way mark up the trail. These shots were taken in 2005. Thanks so much for visiting!!!!
