Enchanted Cedar Trees

This is a VERY cool place on the hill trail at Flaming Geyser St. Park. The trail makes a sharp left-hand turn and drops down a short steep hill into this stand of a dozen grand cedar trees. You feel as tho you have entered a fantasy land of fairies, brownies, imps and maybe a small troll or two. In the summer all the brown undergrowth shown in this photo is a thick, lush green. After passing thru these giant trees, the canopy opens up and the light changes the atmosphere immediately, leaving the fantasy world behind you. It's just one of my favorite places in this wonderful park!!!
