Rest Stop

This bench doesn't look that inviting, but if you just came up the very long, steep hill that we were about to go down, you might take advantage of it anyway. The park has to rely on volunteers to spruce up the place...the economy impacts us in many ways. Volunteer Days are a fun way to connect with others who enjoy the outdoors. I highly recommend getting involved in keeping our State Parks maintained for everyone...breathe the fresh air, burn a few calories and accomplish amazing tasks. You will leave with a satisfied feeling!!! 2nd shot...Me, about 1/2 way down the hill to the large picnic area.

Oh, Mary, wow! I love the lichens on that bench and it wouldn't deter me a bit to sit on it, albeit that I took a photo of it, first, like you did! Love these shots, hon!
