Main Picnic Area @ Flaming Geyser Park

This is NOT a lake!! This is a flooded picnic area. Most of the lowland areas of the park are underwater...considered wetlands. In the summer the water will be gone, but this will be the last place to be completely dry up. The swamp across the access road from here always has water and is home to beavers, turtles, and misc. water fowl.

Wow, Mary when I saw this I totally thought it was a lake, Camp "Crystal Lake" to be exact, and waiting for "Jason" to emerge from it with his large "hunting knife"! LOL! :-)
