Glorious Power of Nature!!

Two more photos from the Henskin Lake Trail that are after thoughts....before moving on to tomorrow's hike. The first photo is the stream that I began with, a close-up of the power and volume of this wonderful stream. I wish you could hear it as we did!! The second is a follow-up of info about the miner's cave. The guy at the machine next to my husband at work has explored this area extensively as a rock hound/gold panner in his younger days. He says that this area was a gold/silver mining town of 200 people before WWI. It was closed down shortly after the war, as iron was needed for military purposes (WWII) and no one actually got rich. He says there are mining caves all over and he has been in a few. Many of the ski runs have names associated with gold mining....Bullion Basin, Gold Hills, Miners Basin, Quicksilver. Learn something new every day... :-))

I agree with Dee on this one BRILLIANT, camera work indeed what a super job you have done with the first photo I wish I could be there to hear it as you do and so interesting the story about the cave makes you wonder if there is still gold in those hills.
