New Rating/Comments Feature!
We have just created an easier way to post comments and rate your favorite artwork on ArtWanted.com! At the bottom of each image, you will find a comments field along with the numbers 1-10.
To post a comment/critique on the artwork, simply type it in. Then click on a number 1-10, 10 being the best. By clicking on the number, it will submit your rating & comments if you have typed them in. If you just want to rate the image, just click on the number you rate the artwork.
The next page takes you to the results of your vote. You can see how many people have voted, the average rating for the artwork and the overall rating for the artist. Not only this, but we will randomly select another image that you can continue rating.
We want to encourage more image comments and ratings and we feel this new system will accomplish this in a big way. Sit back on your computer and spend some time rating the artwork found on our website. It's not only fun, but it shows you that your opinion matters.
From your votes, we will be creating top artwork and artist lists. We will also use the ratings to determine our upcoming 'featured artists' that will be spotlighted on our home page. We also plan to create a special section of our website, to highlight the highest rated artists/artwork on our site.
Not only this, but every time you rate artwork on our site you are entered into our frequent drawings for cash & prizes. Winners will be annouced on our message boards.
Got some time to kill? Spend a half-hour rating our members artwork and they will do the same for your art. To get started, look at any artwork on our site and click on the numbered rating bar. Enjoy!
THE 'NOT-SO-FINE' PRINT
- Votes for your own artwork are tossed out, you can only vote for others.
- You can only vote one time for any piece of art. All other votes are ignored.
- You can post more than one comment on any piece of artwork.
- You must be a logged in member of ArtWanted.com to vote, but you can post annonymous comments.
- You can disable the posting of comments on your artwork from your MEMBER PREFERENCES area.
- Do not post comments with profanity or slamming others artwork. If you do, your voting/commenting priveleage will be removed.
- If you haven't visted ArtWanted.com in the last few months, your artwork will be removed from the random rating page.
- We will analize voting patterns from time to time, so if you are always rating with the same number or give most people bad ratings, your voting/commenting priveleage will be removed.
