This is an Illustration of the Native american story "Raven Stole the Light". After Raven created the earth he felt something was missing. He went in search of that missing ingredient for his new creation and saw a small child playing with a leather satchel. When the child looked in their was a bright gleaming light and Raven felt this was what was missing. He stole the leather bag and sprinkled the light behind him as he flew, creating the stars, moon, and sun
