Chain maille pieces are made with jump rings of various sizes, colors, and metals; These are manipulated by a pair of chain nose, bent nose, or flat nose piers, or a combination of any of these. Different ways of putting the rings together are called weaves. Some weaves are as old as the hills and others have been created recently by chain maille artists.
