Rudolph Danny Leiva is a 62-year-old artist born in Queens, New York. He finished his formal education in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has also lived in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Of Spanish and Italian descent, he currently resides in Upland, California. He studied classical guitar in Buenos Aires under a formidable teacher at the age of 13 and, in his younger years, had a brief musical career as a singer-songwriter and is one of the founding members of the band "Grupo Canela." After suffering a severe back injury due to a fall, Danny (the artist goes by his middle name) was bedridden for several months, where he perfected his painting skills with the Paint app. since all he had to work with from his bed was just his laptop computer. The artist has oil paintings done in his early years, but today, he chose the computer app to do his artwork found in this portfolio.
