Artist Statement: LOST HIGHWAY | Every road trip ever taken, moments out of time, before cell phones and you could actually be gone. Lost highways are always showing up in my work. Somewhere along the line Wendell Berry said highways are an abstraction of place, a thought that returns to me any time i get above 55mph. But if you stop, pull over, break down, run out of gas...well, things get real specific real fast. And there you are.
