Chris Rosedoll was born in St. Paul, minnesota in 1969. He was raised in Spokane Washington and recieved his formal training from Spokane Falls Community College and obtained his C.F.A in fine art and his A.S. in graphic design in 1992. While Rosedoll was focusing on his art, exhibiting in gallery shows and painting into the mad hours of the night, an explosion of sorts was happening 280 miles away in seattle; a music revolution was taking place. he bought a guitar, taught himself to play and moved to Seattle. He spent his time in Seattle writing songs, playing clubs and grinding through the machinery of the music business. After several years of plodding through those muddy waters, Rosedoll relocated to Portland, Oregon and fell into the familiar pattern of painting and playing rock music. Rosedoll currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife Valerie and has dedicated himself to painting. He describes his artistic style as being "an American doing japanese pop art with a hint of street flavor."
