I'm relatively new to the art world. I'm 38 years old and live in Salt Lake City Utah. I have been painting for about 3 years. My medium of choice is acrylic using a combination of airbrush and tradtional brushwork. This technique was taught to me by a professional illustrator and allows for alot of realism and detail which I strive for in my work. I also do some colored pencil and graphite drawing. My favorite subject to portray is the ocean and the life contained in it. Years ago, I started travelling to Florida, California, and the Caribbean. While I was in Key West, I saw the work of Wyland for the first time and immediately fell in love with his work and with that of Christian Lassen and David Miller. I paint and draw a variety of other subjects, but marine art is by far my favorite.
