I began painting on my own in late 2005, and shortly after enrolled in painting and drawing classes through the local community college. I took a few classes before i applied and was accepted at the University of Washington fine arts program, but decided after a week of classes that it was not for me. I was informally trained by Jose Rodriquez as well at about the same time, and am now finally painting some work that I am quite proud of.
