Here is hoping you all feel perky for memorial day 2020! One that we will never forget right? My desire here is to share

my painting stories and the faith that keeps me going. When I first painted the tropical ocean scene, I really wished I

could add a hammock or beach chair. Instead I added part of Psalm 23. The first painting of this was smaller and I gave

it away to a friend so the one you see is one I painted alongside my daughter. Anyone churched at all know the 23rd Psalm. "The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside still waters. He restore the my soul:..." Sometimes we get the idea that God is saying that he won't let anything bad happen to us. That is not what He is

saying, of course, because we all know that life isn't all a bowl of cherries. But wrather, like a father would, God wants

to bring everything out to work for good, and he promises a calm after the storm, food, and restoration. He promises

that through it all, goodness and mercy will follow me, and the in the end I will end up in the house of the Lord forever!

It really does make life WORTH

LIVING if we see these promises!

I hope this blesses someone today.

I'd like to go back to some of my older paintings and tell their story! Each of your paintings should have a story that

tells what that painting means to you personally. It gives art much more purpose, and if we allow it, nature always

points back to the one who created it. Your paintings as well should say something about you. The first painting that I

ever did was from a book created by Rick Warren to help learn technique in painting water. Since I am a student, you

will see that most of my paintings are similar to someone else's because I am learning techniques. These are still hand

painted by Michelle Renee' and eventually I will be developing my own style. So my first painting ever.....drum roll....

was the sunrise or sunset over the ocean or great lake. In this picture you may focus on the sky or the water. I added a

sailboat and a verse that focuses on the deep water. Deep water is similar to life, both scary, and beautiful; It can be

peaceful and tempestuous. The verse states "For the Lord is a great God...above all gods. In His hand are the deep

places of the earth. Psalm 95:3a &4a No matter where you are in life, God's love is bigger and deeper than your

problem. These are trying times. To whom will you turn when life is bigger than you?

First of all, if you are a beginner and you want to learn from someone, the Art Sherpa is fun and easy to follow along with. She is a sunny person and very helpful. You. Might see some of my paintings are similar to hers because I am watching her tutorial. The next painting I have finished was an acrylic pour. That is something I haven't been doing because I didn't want to waste paint. It also has a unicorn on it and I included a Bible verse. Did you know unicorns are mentioned in the Holy Bible? We just don't know what they looked like. The magical mythes and horse depiction is most likely imagination, but since we don't know, I think the horse is the most graceful thing to draw. Keep an open enough mind to realize that every fantastical story started with a ribbon of truth! And hope that you believe in God and read the Bible. What hope do you have of heaven? Is life really only 70 or 80 years. Every person that I talk to that has a Long life, says that life is short. Why not believe in God and hope for eternal life?!

Today was one of improvement! I was able to improve on a painting that I did before and add a sweet verse that has particular meaning to me. I hope to share a little about this painting and maybe a peek into my past. It is the Birch Forest Initialed acrylic painting on canvas board. By the way, canvas board needs a frame unless you glue something to the back. But back to the painting...The birch tree is my personal favorite deciduous tree! It started when I was a child. The best shade tree in the front yard at the time was a large group of birch trees. Birch trees do not get so large that they endanger your house so much; they like water and sand (like me); and their white bark is picturesque all year long. If you try it, you can make cool stuff out of the bark, but please use a dead tree. The leaves on birch trees are similar to that of 'quaking' aspens, which means that their leaves clap together in the breeze making a unique murmer. That, to me is a beautiful song! Just remember this, when you hear the wind clapping the leaves together, God is using the trees to sing a sweet melody to YOU! Also remember that each tree is created to make it's own song shape and color. God made us to whistle our own tune, you might say. With God's guidance, we can produce our own song, color, and contribution to society. Like the birch tree, don't be afraid to stand out! Until next week, God bless!

For many years it has been a desire of mine to hone my artistic vibes into something useful. Needless to say, being a mother of eight and a homeschooler and somewhat of a homesteader, I have gathered tons of information but not in art! So you all get to watch my talent improve by viewing the portfolio. I said that I would share more of my goal so here goes.... I see that the commands in scripture are simply for our own good. One command is to write scripture on our walls, talk of it as you travel, when we rise up, and lie down. In other words, just like when we train our kids or even dogs and repeat ourselves over and over, that is what we are supposed to do with God's word! So back to my goals. I want to make this command beautifully easy by supplying beautiful paintings with scripture that we all need to hear repeated.

Needless to say, I am not your average blogger, and have had a difficult time finding a niche! I would like to begin buy

telling a little about myself. I was born into a family with five boys. The last child and only girl. If you can at all identify,

like my page. We will probably be buds. I like pretty things, but I tend to also like to play in the dirt which has made me

love gardening, and herbs. You might notice in my paintings that I love to be outside, and I love flowers, and water.

Having been married and having children has also given me a love for those moments in life to cherish. I will

continue next time on telling you my goals! Have beautiful day! And thank God that you are alive!

At the very beginning of the Bible in Genesis 2:7 We are told that God is the giver of all life, even plants and flowers.

Thank God for LIFE today. It is the opposite of death.

We finally got some snow that had mostly melted! I am not to disappointed, but have to agree that it's beautiful. So here is my first wintertime scene of a snowy Creek. If you have every grown up playing near a creek, maybe this is a familiar scene!
