Can Uluer
Can Uluer (b. 1960, Ankara, Türkiye) is a contemporary Turkish painter and ceramic artist whose practice spans more than four decades. Educated in Archaeology and Art History, he developed an artistic language that combines figurative expression with themes of memory, time, identity, and the human condition.
After establishing his first ceramic studio in 1980 and presenting his first solo exhibition in 1983, Uluer continued to build an international exhibition record in Türkiye and Italy. His work has been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions and art fairs, including ArtContact Istanbul, ArtParma Fair, Vernice Art Fair in Forlì, and international exhibitions held during the Venice Biennale period. His painting After Love was featured in a Venice exhibition catalogue.
Uluer received a Mention of Merit at the International Triennale of Visual Arts of Ferrara for his painting Time. Represented by Mega Art Gallery in Italy, he lives and works in Istanbul, creating paintings and ceramic works that explore humanity’s emotional and symbolic dimensions
